Standing seam metal roofing is a specific type of concealed fastener metal roof panel. This means that the panels interlock using a clamping system instead of relying on screws to hold everything together. As a result, standing seam metal roofing provides a polished, seamless look that is preferred for residential applications and many commercial builds.
The biggest difference that you’ll notice with standing seam panels is that there are fewer opportunities for failure over time. Without fasteners to hold the panels together or to attach the panels to the roof decking, there are no holes that can lead to leaks as hardware deteriorates over time.
The R Panel is a low-maintenance, durable metal roofing alternative to conventional roofing. It's ideal for retro-fitting over existing composition shingles, and it saves time, labor and disposal costs, which means a lower total project cost. Choose from many designer colors for a sleek, attractive appearance.
Tile roofs have been around for centuries. Like any roofing product, they were created to provide a barrier between the inside of a structure and the harsh outside elements. Roof tiles are made of local, natural and recyclable materials such as terracotta (also known as clay), slate and concrete. All three of these roofing materials offer lifelong durability and fireproofing; two superior qualities that continues to set them apart from the competition. Concrete roof tiles, like those manufactured by Eagle Roofing Products, offer additional benefits including: versatility in design and color, energy efficiency, greater protection against high winds, hail and freeze/thaw climates, and they are less expensive than genuine clay or slate. As you can see in the graph provided, the lifespan of slate, clay and concrete tile roofs is far longer than any other roofing material.
Architectural Shingles
In the 1980s, enhancements to the dimensional shingle resulted in a new generation of high-quality asphalt roofing products with distinctive, often dramatic, appearances. With these advancements came a new name: architectural roofing shingles. Also known as laminated or dimensional shingles, architectural roofing shingles are among the highest quality roofing products made.
Traditionally, they are composed of a heavy fiberglass mat base and ceramic-coated mineral granules that are tightly embedded in carefully refined, water-resistant asphalt.
Solar Shingles
Timberline Solar is made up of shingles, not panels or heavy tiles. These shingles are water-shedding, strong and warranted to withstand winds up to 130 mph. Rack-mounted solar installations—where the solar is separate from the roof—require the drilling of dozens of holes into the roof membrane. Any resulting damage related to those holes is not typically covered by roof warranties.
For homeowners who already know the quality of GAF roofing products, the Timberline Solar™ roof has the same wind and water-shedding warranty coverage as Timberline HDZ.
Presidential Shake Shingles
Some of the most attractive architectural roofing shingles simulate cedar wood shakes (such as CertainTeed's Presidential Shake shingles). These shingles are quite thick with random slots similar to real shakes.
Silicone Roof Coating* is a 98% solids moisture-cure coating intended for the repair and restoration of asphalt, modified bitumen, metal, concrete, TPO, PVC, KEE(Fibertite), Hypalon (CSPE), PIB, and EPDM roofs. Silicone’s low water absorption allows for improved ponding water resistance. Fast cure time allows for same day recoating. Lucas #8000 is low odor, and contains no solvents or water, so it will not freeze! VOC compliant in all of North America. #8500 is a thicker mastic version of #8000 for repairs. When installed in white, #8000 will reflect solar energy and reduce interior building temperatures while improving the efficiency of rooftop air conditioning units.
TPO Roofing Systems
Short for thermoplastic polyolefin, TPO is a single-ply roofing membrane that offers excellent performance at a cost-effective price. Heat-welded seams provide superior strength. TPO's long-term heat, UV, and natural fungal resistance, plus flexibility without need for plasticizers also make TPO a reliable low-slope roofing system.
Peel & Stick Roofing
Self-adhering roofing membrane with a decorative granule surface. 90-mils thick with adhesive selvedge. Peel & Roof is an attractive, granule surfaced, self-adhering roof membrane designed to be installed directly to the roof deck or to a secure underlayment.
EPOXY WALKING DECKS
Walking decks are extremely popular with single family residential properties, multi-family living communities, commercial properties and industrial buildings. If walking decks are not at ground level or have subterranean parking, typically all substrates must have a type of waterproofing system. These systems should be able to withstand any heavy pedestrian traffic, be waterproof and meet a coefficient of friction requirements. There are several different types of waterproof decking systems.
